Complete List of Keyboard Shortcut Keys in Window XP Want to know the shortcut keys on window XP? Are you new to your computer operating system window XP. Window XP is well known and review as the good window operating system because of its minimal system requirements and many recomment it to those computer owner that has a low system hardware. I remember a article that had read, telling that among the three window operating system, window 7 is the best while window xp is good. It my not have a good graphics but it is better than window vista when it comes to system performance speeds. Well aside from that information, I will share you the shortcut keys that can be useful on your computing experience. 

What is Shortcut keys?
Shortcut keys are keyboard keys (or key combinations) which are configured to execute an often-used command or set of commands.

Windows XP Shortcuts: 

ALT+- (ALT+hyphen) Displays the Multiple Document Interface (MDI) child window's System menu
ALT+ENTER View properties for the selected item
ALT+ESC Cycle through items in the order they were opened
ALT+F4 Close the active item, or quit the active program
ALT+SPACEBAR Display the System menu for the active window
ALT+TAB Switch between open items
ALT+Underlined letter Display the corresponding menu
BACKSPACE View the folder one level up in My Computer or Windows Explorer
CTRL+A Select all
CTRL+B Bold
CTRL+C Copy
CTRL+I Italics
CTRL+O Open an item
CTRL+U Underline
CTRL+V Paste

Customize Window Default User Account Picture

Customize Default User Account Picture for all Window Operating System Want to change the default image / picture of your computer account? Your computer has already have an image / picture for your account. This image / picture can be seen before computer start to load up the desktop. Where you need to enter password or choosing your account if there are more than one account created. It can also be seen on the start menu for window vista and window 7. If you dont like your account's primary image / picture and want to know how to change it.
Well, I'm gonna teach you the simple way on how to change your window account's default image / picture.

For Windows XP/vista/seven

First, click "Start" orb and click Control Panel. Go to "User Accounts" then click on your account and select on "Change my Picture".

Choose the image you like from the above section, or browse your hard disk to make use of a custom picture.

Quick Way on Windows Seven/Vista

Quick way to change window account's default image / picture.
First, click "Start" orb then click on the icon (on upper right) of your account. In my sample picture below is a briefcase.

Then select "change your image. Choose the image you want to save and click "edit".

There you go. Hope you like your new account's image / picture.

How To Speed Up Computer's Start-Up / Shutdown

How to optimize your computer start up & boot perfomances When you open your computer, after you log in. Do it take long time for your desktop to start-up, did you notice how your Memory/RAM was used up by many program that is running hidden at your computer's background that will eventually result to slow performances. You can see it by opening the task manager then click Performance. Does the boot time of your computer are too fast that your computer dont have enough time to close all program that is currently running and use by the user. These three are the common problem for those computer user that has too many program installed in their computer.

Well, I will teach you how to fix that problems and how to optimize it for computer to regain its top performance speed. The first thing that we gonna do is to open "msconfig" to disable some non-important, unused or less prioritize programs that currently running hidden at your computer background. Just follow these steps
There are two ways to access / open msconfig, First is to click the "start orb" then at the search bar type in "msconfig" then wait a seconds to appear and press enter.

And the second is to click "start orb" then click "Run" and type in "msconfig" then press enter.

Then click the "start up" tab and uncheck non-important, unused or less prioritize program except antivirus. But take note: If you are unsure on what the program is, better to do a research first before unchecking it.

Next, click the "boot.ini" tab and on the "timeout" box change the default booting time 5 seconds to 30 seconds.

After that close it and click "save" button. Well if there's a way on how to optimize / speed up your computer start up, ofcourse there is also a way on how to optimize / speed up computer's shutdown process. Ok lets start just follow these simple steps.
First, On your desktop click the "start orb" then type in "Regedit" and press enter.

After that, the "Registry Editor" will appear. Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" next click "SYSTEM" then "CurrentControlSet" and last is click the "Control" folder. Then Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"
Right click on it and select Modify.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control & Select WaitToKillServiceTimeout

Set it a value lower than 2000. In my example 1900 or lower than it. then click ok.

After that restart your computer to see some changes.
